Stop Motion Production Lesson four-22/02/16

I have decided on the song for the lyric video- I found a girl by The Vamps.
I have looked through font generator sites to get ideas of how to write the lyrics, and I have test drawn some.

Bias In Media

Definitions of words as they relate to the media industry

Balance includes using two opposing opinions to get a point across, in the most fair way possible. This is the free speech model which the BBC aims to use as one of the founders- John Reith-  wanted the guidelines to be 'to educate, inform, entertain'.

The other model of free speech is the market model in which opinions are presented and people can choose to listen to them or not. Fox news uses this model.

Impartiality is the way in which media is presented as being fair and balanced with a neutral opinion.

Bias is when a particular opinion is the focus, and can be related to Propaganda videos as they are bias opinions.

A subjective documentary is a personal point of view and may include experiences of a personal story.

An objective documentary is an attempt to be unbias with truth, history and evidence from research.

Stop Motion Production- lesson three- 8/2/2016

My final idea is to produce a lyric video for a song which is not yet detemined. I am in the process of elimination. The lyric video will be paper based.

I Found a Girl by The Vamps has a simple concept through the lyrics ('I found a girl who's in love with a girl') and could easily be very symbol/picture based which is what I wanted. I have begun to see where I could fit pictures into the lyrics.

This is the picture i started with to experiment with colour space whilst in RGB colour.

This is what it looks like when you remove the red channel

This is what it looks like when you remove the green channel

This is what happens when you remove the blue channel

This is what happens if you remove two of the channels
You can only choose the channels red green and blue because they are the three primary colours of light.

A photoshop image is made up of tiny squares called pixels that are one of these three colours

You can see how the squares are coloured differently to make up the colours of the band members face. If you use a colour picker you can see the values of red green and blue which are needed to make up that particular shade as every colour value is a number.

The colour mode which is used for printing is CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, key- black)
Because each coloured print needs these four colours in, the image is printed four times.
(change image mode to get to this)
